Well guys. The long haul has been chosen. My lymph nodes tested positive for cancer so they could not do the big surgery yesterday. I did have a mastectomy on my left side.

The good news: I'm home.

The less good news: I am now at stage 3. I will be almost certainly getting chemo, maybe radiation and having another big surgery after that. The timeline of all this will be determined in the next couple of weeks but all told could be a year before everything is done. I'm saying this from a fog of pain meds and a lot of doctors telling me a lot of things.

And if I learned one thing it is that the plan can change. A challenging lesson for this task oriented lady.Thank you all for your wonderful everything. I'll be in touch when I know more and apologize if you are hearing this news from many channels.
